XOMNI: Experience Omni-Channel

The category management systems provides APIs to delete a category and related metadata ın backend. Using this method, you can remove an existing category by giving the unique ID of a particular category.

The response does not contain any response entity if the status is successful.

Response Headers

Header Field Name Description
Content type of the response entity. The value of this header is always application/json.

Status Codes

A successful operation returns status code 202 (Accepted) for DELETE operations. Possible response status codes are as listed below:

Status Code Description
202 (Accepted) Delete Operation is successful.
404 (Not Found) No category found for given category id.
409 (Conflict) Given category has child categories. Please delete child categories first.
409 (Conflict) There are items under this category. Please delete these items or change the category of items first.
